ABOUT
I've been a CB Radio since 1964. I've held an Amateur (ham) Radio "Extra" license since 1982. I also have a GMRS license, but no GMRS radios. I still operate CB Radio. I have Morse code running in the background most of the time. Sometimes I make contacts, and sometimes I just listen. I've done digital, repeaters, and I've got a decent stack of DX QSL cards. Now, it's Morse code and two-meter simplex, radio scanning, and some CB Radio. I use a Putikeeg straight key for Morse, not a keyboard. I don't own an amplifier.
Don't expect deep thought, analysis, or tech talk. I'm here to have fun. I do not represent any club or organization. Anything I post, or comment on, regarding any person or organization, is obtained from publicly-available information.
While Amateur (ham) Radio and CB Radio are exempt from the FCC interception and disclosure rules, other services - especially taxpayer-supported entities - are somewhat of a "gray area." While I might announce an activity, I don't always disclose its contents. That's where your scanner comes in! This simple, static website has one function: to put my text on your screen. Being static, there is no comment function. WordPress is bloated overkill for my needs.
From Kelso in the movie Heat - 1995: It comes to you, this stuff just flies through the air, they send this information beamed out over the place, you just got to know how to grab it, see, I know how to grab it.
From an unknown pilot: "Maintain thy airspeed lest the Earth rise up and smite thee."
